The adoption gap

Most organisations buy the technology. Few build the organisation that can use it.

You've sat through the model comparisons. You've been pitched the platforms. You've probably green-lit a pilot or two that looked sharp in the demo and never quite made it into production. The technology is no longer the hard part.

This roundtable is for the conversation that comes next: not what AI can do, but what it takes to embed it. The leaders pulling ahead have stopped litigating the technology and started architecting the conditions for adoption. We'll share what we're seeing across the organisations we work with, put DigiRen's AI Adoption Success Equation on the table, and work through it together.

DigiRen's adoption equation

Adoption isn't luck. It's architecture.

Four enablers determine whether AI adoption succeeds or stalls. We'll step through each one and hear what's working, and what isn't, across the room.

Adoption = Purpose + Trust + (Velocity × Scale)

01

Purpose

Defining what AI is actually for.

Most AI initiatives fail the "why" test before the "how". We look at how leading organisations turn ambition into use cases the business genuinely owns, measures, and would fight to keep.

02

Trust

Trust is an operating posture.

Trust isn't a comms exercise. Without it, your best capabilities sit unused while people quietly route around them. We look at the governance and risk settings that give people permission to lean in.

03

Velocity

Speed without discipline creates a pilot graveyard.

Speed isn't optional anymore, but speed without discipline produces a pilot graveyard. We share what we see in organisations that have shortened the distance from idea to value, and learned to retire what isn't working.

04

Scale

Scale fails when adoption doesn't compound.

This is where most programs break: a few impressive pilots, a long tail of duplicated effort, no platform underneath. We discuss reusable patterns and the operating-model changes that let adoption compound.

The running order

Four conversations, over a long lunch.

Topic-led but unhurried. As much about hearing what everyone else is trying as sharing what we've seen work. Anthony keeps a light hand on it.

What you walk away with

Two things worth an afternoon out of the office.

A working command of the four enablers.

Purpose, Trust, Velocity and Scale, drawn from DigiRen's direct experience guiding organisations through this exact challenge. You'll hear what we're seeing actually move the needle, and, just as importantly, where we've watched well-intentioned programs come unstuck.

A clear picture of what's actually working, and what isn't.

Honest views from inside organisations navigating the same terrain: what was tried and abandoned, what looked good on a slide but failed on the floor, and what's quietly compounding. Plus the peers around the table, and the relationships you leave with.

About DigiRen

Architects of Adoption.

We don’t build AI. We build the organisations that master it.

Same for cloud, data and platforms. The technology worked. The organisations didn’t.

Five years inside Australia’s largest banks, universities and government agencies taught us the gap isn’t technical. It’s organisational. And AI is colliding with it faster than any wave before.

DigiRen isn’t a vendor. We’re not an engineering company. We aren’t here to sell you more technology.

We’re the firm called in when the technology is working and the organisation still isn’t.

AI Capability Lead | DigiRen | The Architects of Adoption

Anthony helps organisations stop talking about AI and start using it. As AI Capability Lead at DigiRen, he works with Australia's largest enterprises and government agencies to operationalise AI capability, cutting through the noise to implement changes that meaningfully shift how businesses work.

Anthony has little patience for hype. Where much of the market trades in bold promises, he focuses on the harder, less glamorous work: building the trust, purpose, scale and speed that make AI adoption actually stick. That hands-on grounding, built across senior roles at AWS, Commonwealth Bank and KPMG, is what lets him separate what works from what merely sounds impressive.

He frames every AI engagement around four questions: Do people trust it? Does it serve a clear purpose? Will it hold up at scale? Can you move at speed without breaking what matters? Get those right, and real transformation follows.
